Hello! My name is Alan Henry, I’m a technology writer, blogger, and recovering technical project manager. I live in Washington, DC, and am currently a writer for Gawker Media, specifically at Lifehacker. Prior to that, I was a project manager for a database marketing firm, supporting a 24/7 high-performance, multi-site environment. Before that, I worked in network and systems analysis, technology support, and IT consulting, aiding clients with use of specialized enterprise infrastructure and applications.

In addition to that work, I have taken on freelance writing and blogging opportunities, and operate a number of my own blogs. Some of the areas I have covered specifically have been web services, consumer electronics, social media and networking, productivity tools, tech news and trends, and video gaming.

My work has been published in PC Magazine and its digital network of blogs (like Geek.com, ExtremeTech, and AppScout,) Lifehacker, Sound and Vision Magazine, Popular Science, Tom’s Hardware, Tom’s Guide, and the Azeroth Metblogs, in addition to my own blogs, a listing of which are available at Nova Netwerks.
